Sexual exploitation contention upon Brij Bhushan: Authority & Ministry being tranquil on allegation
Top Indian Wrestlers who earlier protested in January against the Wrestling Federation of India Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and other trainers for assaulting and exploiting women sexually, are once again re appear at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar with an active police complaint at the Connaught Place police station in Central Delhi for demanding the justice. The Indian wrestling squad returned home country with a perfect record from the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, with six gold, one silver and five bronze medals. They all made the nation proud by leading the country at the epitome of the level in last CWG. All 12 wrestlers were welcomed with the chants of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' at the Indian airport.
These includes Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Bajrang Punia, Naveen Kumar, Deepak Punia, Deepak Nehra, Mohit Grewal, Pooja Gehlot, Vinesh Phogat, Anshu Malik, Sakshi Malik, Divya Kakran and Pooja Sihag.
Now, collectively all of them protesting against WFI chief and demanding an arrest for him to save girls of our country and to lead this game enchantingly in future.
Great and eminent wrestler Sakshi Mailik reiterated for again the protest that- ‘’We have been waiting for two and a half months now but no one is listening. People are saying we are a spent force that is why we are protesting. We just won a medal at CWG 2022," Sakshi Malik affirmed.
Other remarkable wrestler Vinesh Phogat thanked praised who are there with them in such sensitive issue- “We wish to thank all of our elders and Khap Panchayat members, who had come last time too to protest with us and support us. We apologise for the politics that was played with us and the mistakes that we made because of that. We are sorry that you came to support us and stand with us and we ended the protests in haste," Phogat stated.
She also declared that, "We have been cheated and politics was played with us. We don't want the girls, who have come after us into wrestling and have spoken against Brij Bhushan and his sexual assaults on them, to suffer. If these women should get justice, if they don't then many girls will leave wrestling and choose other games or their families might just keep them from participating in sports altogether.”
“Take action against us if we are lying, take against against Bhushan if he is found wrong," other heroic wrestlers affirming.
“We are open for the support. We seek the support of the political parties. Last time we did not take any support as we were misguided," they utter.
